"Study Part I: Biomass and Logistics"
Study by order of the German Energy Agency (dena)
It is the aim of the implementation report to develop a basis for the implementation of large-scale BtL production in Germany, providing potential investors with an opportunity to assess the prospects and risks associated with investment in large-scale BtL production and at the same time identifying further potential for technical optimization needs, and giving the state an important starting point in respect of the further need for promotion and the creation of suitable political, legal and fiscal parameters.
The focus of the study in Part I is on biomass and logistics in the five model locations of Gelsenkirchen, Heilbronn, Leuna, Ludwigshafen and Wismar. The underlying research for Part I was carried out Ludwig-Bölkow-Systemtechnik GmbH, Ottobrunn/Germany.
The project at the heart of this report was managed by dena and subsidized with funds from the Federal
Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection, the Federal Ministry of
Transport, Buildings and Urban Development and the Federal Ministry for the
Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety. Funding was provided through the Fachagentur Nachwachsende Rohstoffe e.V. (Agency for Renewable Resources, FNR).
